Job summary

Schroeder Industries LLC in the United States seeks an assembler to pull required materials and assemble filters and filter assemblies per the bill of materials and specifications. You will set up hydraulic and hand presses, use hand-tools and power-tools, and inspect finished products for quality.

The role involves wiring, cleaning, rustproofing, and handling components, with opportunities to cross-train and work with the company system to track stock and drawings. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in assembly work preferred.
• Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assembles all required products and inspects material for compliance to manufacturing specifications using work instructions, work orders, sketches, engineering drawings and instructions.
• Sets up and operates hydraulic and hand presses.
• Uses various hand-tools and power-tools (such as pneumatic torque wrench, screwdriver and electric drill), taps, and glues for assembling, wiring, cleaning, rustproofing and handling filters and components.
• Inspects final assembly and/or product to ensure quality meets all specifications.
• Works in other assembly support functions including but not limited to washing, testing, and repairing.
• Cross trains on different job tasks within the department.
• Utilizes company-wide computer system to check on stock, access engineering drawings, check on work order status and other job-related manufacturing transactions as required.
• Disassembles filters returned to SI for credit, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Works overtime as required.
