Job summary

Foster, LLC. is seeking a production operator to work in a team-based environment for manufacturing specialty plastic compounds.

You will prepare raw materials, set up extrusion equipment, and monitor quality throughout production while maintaining safety and cleanliness in line with ISO standards. Responsibilities include following orders, applying BOMs, and ensuring proper documentation and readiness for shifts.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents including safety rules, operational instructions, procedure manuals, and SDS sheets.
• Ability to write routine reports.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
• Apply common sense to carry instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
• Deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Determines production requirements by reading and implementing general and special instructions on each sales order.
• Reviews and applies the manufacturing bill of materials to each sales order.
• Prepare raw materials including drying, pre-blending, or staging.
• Prepare machine and equipment for operation.
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned per work instructions and production schedule.
• Set extruder operating parameters per the master reference setup sheet.
• Prepare production run sheet records and monitor parameters for quality and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean work area and prevent residue buildup.
• Take action to prevent unsafe conditions or injuries.
• Collaborate with team to meet customer expectations and minimize conflicts.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
