Job summary

Allan Myers Inc. is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to support our Mainline Pipe Crew or Mass Excavation Crew on heavy civil projects. The ideal candidate has at least three years of excavator experience on site development or large-scale excavation, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will operate hydraulic excavators, perform earthmoving and trenching, read plans, and collaborate with crew leaders. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating excavators on site development or large excavation projects.
• Experience with mainline pipe installation or mass excavation preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic excavators (Cat models) to dig, trench, and grade with precision.
• Excavate for utility installation (water, sewer, storm) and large-scale projects.
• Perform bulk earthmoving, slope work, and grading per plans.
• Read and interpret plans, stakes, and laser levels; ensure safety compliance.
• Conduct daily inspections and report mechanical issues; collaborate with crew.
