Job summary

Natural Gas Services Group, Inc. is seeking an Overhaul / Rebuild Mechanic. The role involves disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of engine and compressor components with meticulous measurement and quality checks.

You will collaborate with colleagues to plan repairs, oversee test runs, and ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental guidelines while maintaining an organized, efficient workspace.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair and reassemble reciprocating engine and compressor components and auxiliary equipment.
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges) to verify dimensional integrity.
• Collaborate with team to analyze inspection results and develop repair plans.
• Sign off on test runs and quality assurance checks.
• Follow safety, PPE and HSE procedures; maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders and forklifts as needed.
• Record parts and materials used and requisition new parts as necessary.
