Job summary

Safran Electronics & Defense in West Henrietta, NY is seeking a Production Operator I to join our precision assembly team. You will perform assembly of small to mid-sized components, including soldering, inspection, and testing to meet strict quality standards.

You will use hand and power tools, read detailed work instructions, and maintain a clean work environment while supporting production efficiency and safety protocols on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3 years electronics assembly experience or equivalent with soldering on PCBs.
• Ability to solder/desolder/rework assemblies/SMT experience.
• IPC-610 & JStandard 001 preferred.
• Ability to read and follow directions with heavy attention to detail.
• Able to use ERP system to complete tasks as required.
• Able to read color coded Process Details.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Programs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small to mid-sized components with precision, including fitting, alignment and adjustment.
• Perform precision soldering of electronic and mechanical components as required.
• Inspect and test own work to ensure specifications and quality standards.
• Verify and review the work of others for accuracy and compliance.
• Operate hand tools and fixtures, and use measurement equipment to support production.
• Follow detailed work instructions, safety protocols, and production procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Troubleshoot and repair sub-assemblies and major assemblies as needed.
