Job summary

Novanta in Irvine, CA is seeking an Assembler I to assemble diverse electronic products according to specifications and quality standards. You will read assembly instructions, blueprints, and diagrams to build components or sub-assemblies using appropriate tools and procedures.

As part of the manufacturing team, you will help meet production schedules, perform inspections, and report defects while contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Prior assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with team and management.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions (English required).

Responsibilities

• Assemble varied electronic products, consistently meeting quality standards.
• Perform in-process and final assembly inspections and report potential defects to shift leader or manager.
• Foster a high-performing team environment through daily communication with supervisor and colleagues in all manufacturing areas.
• Work with manufacturing team to meet production schedules, including overtime as required by production needs.
• Provide regular feedback to management regarding potential product and assembly process improvements.
• Comply with all company policies and programs, to include those regarding ethics, conduct, safety, ISO, and continuous improvement.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
