Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Electronics Assembler to correctly and efficiently complete wire and cable assemblies. You will read diagrams, assemble wires into harnesses, and use wire strippers, measuring tools, and soldering to ensure high quality.

Responsibilities include assembling components, wrapping wires, and inspecting finished products; ability to lift up to 35 pounds and pass a vision test are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to regularly sit, stand and walk.
• Vision exam ability to inspect work at close distance.
• Ability to read and understand wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics.
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools and do basic math.
• Ability to effectively use all tools required for wire harness assembly.
• Keen attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics for cable assembly.
• Assemble wires into cables and harness systems per schematic drawings.
• Wrap and tie wires at designated points to form harness.
• Assemble electrical components, systems and/or subsystems.
• Use automatic and hand held wire strippers for wire ends.
• Measure wires and finished cable assemblies for quality.
• Solder parts or connections between parts.
• Solder, wrap, and coat wires to ensure proper installation.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
