Baker Hughes is seeking an Assembler - Mechanical III in New York to assemble electro-mechanical components and subassemblies with precision. You will perform functional testing, solder small parts, and inspect finished products to ensure compliance with BOMs and customer specs.

You will use hand tools, torque drivers, and precision equipment, document production steps, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with soldering and small-parts assembly.
• Experience with hand tools, torque drivers and precision assembly equipment.
• Ability to assemble electro-mechanical components with high accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience following documented work instructions and BOM.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical components and subassemblies per BOM and procedures.
• Perform functional testing of assemblies per specifications.
• Use hand tools, torque drivers and precision equipment as required.
• Conduct soldering on small components meeting workmanship standards.
• Inspect parts for quality and compliance with requirements.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and assist corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and quality teams.
• Follow safety procedures and manufacturing policies.
• Support continuous improvement to improve productivity and quality.
• Keep work area organized and clean; perform other duties as needed.
