Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Boulder, CO is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to support the assembly, testing, installation, and service of complex scientific systems.

You will work from engineering documentation and established procedures to ensure quality and reliability. The role requires independent execution of mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and cable fabrication, plus functional testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly prints.
• Experience in soldering and cable harness fabrication.
• Ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment and perform root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, modify, and test electro-mechanical systems using engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Independently perform mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, cable fabrication, and system integration.
• Fabricate and assemble electrical wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and connectors.
• Conduct functional, electrical, and mechanical testing; document results and identify corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions with limited supervision.
• Create and improve work instructions and documentation for consistency and efficiency.
