Job summary

Hamrick Packaging Systems in Kent, OH seeks an Electrical & Assembly Technician to build, wire, and assemble high-quality automated packaging machinery and control systems. You will work on electrical panels, machine wiring, and mechanical assemblies to exact specs in a safe manufacturing environment.

This full-time role requires an 8-hour shift, 5 days per week, with occasional overtime. Experience with PLCs, drives, motion controls, robotics, pneumatics, and safety devices is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical or mechanical systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production.
• Commitment to safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical assembly skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, wire, and assemble electrical control panels and enclosures.
• Wire machine I/O back to control panels and install safety devices.
• Assemble mechanical parts and subassemblies per blueprints and specs.
• Inspect assemblies for fit, accuracy, and performance; troubleshoot as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
