Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electron Beam/Manual Welder for our Huntsville, Alabama facility. You will set up, program, and operate EB welds and associated processes, reading blueprints and ensuring quality per AS9100 standards. The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Primary duties include preparing surfaces, following weld schedules, and performing semi-manual and automatic welding tasks. Overtime may be required; training in exotic metals TIG welds is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Apply EB welding processes to parts, assemblies, and components.
• Set up, program, and operate EB and CNC controls for EB welding.
• Interpret drawings and blueprints to produce welds.
• Adhere to customer specifications and process sheets for welding operations.
• Pass a weld test at interview and be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Completes basic welding tasks following standard practices.
• Prepares weld surfaces properly and follows weld schedules.
• Operates hand-welding, flame-cutting, and hand-soldering equipment as required.
• Ensures safety standards and quality procedures are followed.
• Evaluates product quality for continuous improvement.
• May assist with fitting assemblies and review drawings.
