Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of drywall finishing experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Proficient with joint compound types and tape methods.
• Ability to read and interpret finish specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Apply joint compound to seams and joints using knives and techniques.
• Tape seams and joints with tape, feather edges.
• Finish corners with corner bead and compound.
• Sand between coats and before final inspection.
• Identify and repair imperfections before mudding begins.
• Verify finishes match fire/moisture/sound ratings as specified.
• Maintain tools and keep area clean.
• Work to production schedules while preserving finish quality.
• Collaborate with drywall hangers and supervisors to maintain workflow.
• Follow safety protocols including dust containment.
• Communicate challenges to supervisors.
