Job summary

Valley Corporation is seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator/Locator to install underground utilities. You will operate drilling equipment, collaborate with the project team, and ensure precise bore paths while minimizing environmental impact and avoiding existing infrastructure.

Responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting, and strict adherence to safety protocols. Strong reading of plans and excellent teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Directional Drill Operator/Locator or similar role.
• Knowledge of directional drilling techniques and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and maps.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Physical fitness to perform drilling operations in various conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to directional drilling.
• Valid CDL driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate directional drilling equipment to create bore paths for underground utilities.
• Collaborate with superintendent, project managers and surveyors to determine drilling locations.
• Ensure accuracy and precision of drilling operations, avoiding obstructions and existing utilities.
• Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during drilling operations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders.
