You will read blueprints and use precision measuring tools to perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring parts meet specifications and GD&T requirements. You will maintain inspection documentation, verify Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and isolate nonconforming materials while collaborating with production to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Attention to detail, time management and computer literacy (ERP or inventory software).
• Typically requires 2+ years in precision manufacturing, aerospace or machining quality environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical proficiency; knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured components to ensure quality and specification compliance.
• Utilize precision inspection equipment, including CMMs, optical comparators, laser scanners, calipers, and micrometers.
• Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements to verify dimensional and manufacturing accuracy.
• Maintain detailed inspection documentation, verify Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and identify, document, and isolate nonconforming materials.
• Work with production employees to correct quality issues.
• Keep inspection tools and records organized.
• Follow company safety and quality procedures.
