Job summary

AWT Labels & Packaging in North Aurora, IL is seeking an experienced Die Cutting Operator to set up, run, and monitor die cutting equipment in a fast-paced packaging production line.

You will review job tickets, install dies and tooling, perform changeovers, inspect output for quality, and maintain safety standards. Prior experience in label or packaging manufacture is preferred; good math and mechanical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating manufacturing, converting, finishing, printing, or die cutting equipment.
• Experience in label, packaging, printing, or converting industry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production documentation.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds; operate powered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor die cutting equipment.
• Review and verify job tickets, measurements and instructions.
• Install and adjust dies, anvils, tooling, and related components.
• Perform accurate setup and changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished product for quality and conformance.
• Monitor material usage to minimize waste.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per safety policies.
• Follow SOPs, GMPs and SQF requirements; communicate concerns to supervisor.
