Job summary

RTCA is seeking a Deburr Technician to join our precision aerospace and defense manufacturing team in Chatsworth, CA. You will remove burrs, inspect parts, and support quality and process improvements in a hands-on, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, using grinding and deburring tools, and maintaining tooling while adhering to safety requirements. The role offers competitive compensation with shift differential and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in deburring, precision finishing, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently on repetitive tasks.
• Basic math skills for measurements.
• Ability to follow safety requirements and use PPE.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Work full-time onsite in Chatsworth, CA; shift differential $2.00/hr.
• Review blueprints and specs to determine deburr requirements.
• Remove burrs using grinding wheels, Scotch-Brite, knives, pneumatic tools, and drills.
• Perform precision deburring on varied geometries with tight tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts with precision instruments for conformance.
• Troubleshoot deburring issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Communicate part status and production issues to supervisors.
• Maintain tools and work area; replace worn tooling.
• Support audits, nonconformance resolution, and process improvements.
• Assist training and mentoring of team members.
• Follow safety policies and maintain clean, safe area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
