Belvac is seeking a skilled production associate to set up and run quality parts for limited runs, selecting tooling according to job requirements and ensuring parts meet specifications. The role emphasizes clean, safe operation and adherence to the documented quality system.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts, grinding and deburring, operating grinders and drills, and maintaining equipment and work area. Education required is a HS diploma; overtime and crane operation may be involved.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent Certificate

Responsabilités

• Be aware of and work with Belvac's current documented Quality Management System as it pertains to the job
• Part marks parts
• Grinds metal parts to groove, bevel, round edges or remove excess stock from metal per drawings or guidelines to remove defects
• Position work piece manually
• Guide tool along specified guidelines on edge or surface of work piece
• Inspect work using rule, straight edge or template
• Tends tumbling machine to smooth metal parts with cleaning compound
• Occasionally drill, tap and cut parts to length when machining cannot
• Follow established Safety Policies and Procedures
• Use fixtures
• Keep assigned machine and work area clean and neat
• Use of sandblaster
• Move material to next sequence after task completion
• Run jobs in date sequence unless directed otherwise by Manager/Planners
• Aim to improve processes to reduce set-up and run-time
