Job summary

Banknote Corp of America seeks a Stamp Finishing Operator in Browns Summit, NC. You will operate stamp finishing equipment, measure and cut materials, and ensure safety, quality, and production standards are met.

The role requires basic computer skills, ability to read SOPs, and teamwork. Physical allotments include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods. Shifts can be day or night.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some previous printing or binding machine operation helpful but not required.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Internet).
• Work well in a team environment.
• Some Mechanical aptitude.
• Good visual acuity and color vision.
• Ability to read and use various metric units.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend or reach 12 hours.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs often.
• Ability to work on any shift (day or night/12 hour or 8 hour shifts).
• Must be able to adhere to stringent safety, quality and security rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe working environment at all times.
• Operates Stamp Finishing Department equipment including polar cutters and other related equipment.
• Handles, measures, cuts, and feeds material.
• Reads and understands SOP standards.
• Maintains operating and malfunction/downtime log and required production documentation (manual and “SERADEX” ERP system).
• Complete/document daily production including downtime.
• Follows quality standards, maintains close tolerances, performs quality checks.
• Performs routine maintenance and clean up.
• Trains new employees as requested.
• Assists with examining product when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
