Candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read drawings, and experience with precision fabrication equipment; training may be provided for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain close tolerances.
• Experience reading technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Good problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor crystal optics fabrication equipment.
• Perform boule slicing, dicing, lapping, grinding, and polishing.
• Inspect in-process and finished components with precision tools and metrology equipment.
