Job summary

Givens Packing & Crating seeks a Crate Builder in Chesapeake, VA for a full-time 7am-4pm shift. You will assemble crates, skids, and custom wood packaging using power tools, reading specifications, and ensuring safe, accurate packing for shipment.

Ideal candidates have carpentry or manufacturing experience, are able to read a tape measure, perform basic math, and lift up to 50 pounds while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Manufacturing or carpentry experience.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Build crates, skids, and wood packaging from customer specifications.
• Use saws, drills, nail guns, and hand tools.
• Secure, wrap, pad, and band products for shipment.
• Attach required labels and identification.
