Impact Electronic Solutions, Inc. is seeking a meticulous Conformal Coating Operator to join our electronics manufacturing team in Clearwater, FL.

You will own the complete coating workflow from masking and material prep through spray application, curing, inspection, and rework to ensure high-reliability PCBA assemblies. You will apply acrylics, polyurethanes, silicones, and epoxies with attention to IPC-A-610, IPC-CC-830, and J-STD-001 standards, performing quality checks under UV light and

Qualifications

• Experience applying conformal coatings on PCBAs.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC-CC-830 and J-STD-001.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation & Masking: mask components to remain uncoated using tapes, boots, dots and other masking materials according to drawings.
• Coating Application: perform manual spray-gun and brush applications for consistent coverage and thickness.
• Material Mixing & Chemistry: handle and mix coating compounds to prescribed viscosity and ratios.
• Curing Control: manage curing ovens with proper temperature profiles and dwell times.
• Quality Inspection: visual and UV inspection to verify coating thickness, coverage and defect-free finishes.
• Rework & Touch-Up: remove excess coating and correct voids or bridging while preserving process integrity.
• Equipment Maintenance & Inventory Control: clean spray guns, monitor chemical inventory using FIFO/Kanban.
