Workers must demonstrate experience as a mason/concrete finisher, maintain physical endurance for demanding tasks, and follow project instructions while maintaining site safety and clean work area on client properties.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a mason/concrete finisher.
• Physical endurance and ability to perform physical activities, including some heavy lifting.
• Ability to accept and follow instructions from others.
• Willingness to work cooperatively with others.
• Understand how to conduct oneself on client’s property.
• Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Set forms to hold concrete at desired pitch and depth, and align them.
• Check forms for proper construction.
• Spread concrete or other aggregates; finish surfaces.
• Monitor curing influenced by wind, heat, or cold.
• Mold expansion joints and edges with edging tools and straightedge.
• Prepare surfaces for work activities and clean up.
• Signal equipment operators for proper positioning.
• Apply sealing compounds and waterproof surfaces.
• Compact materials to create level bases.
• Smooth surfaces with abrasives and tools.
• Repair damaged areas with holes and reinforcing rods.
