Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking skilled Cement Mason/Step Finisher to smooth and finish poured concrete surfaces, including floors, walls, sidewalks, and curbs. You will use floats, trowels, and screeds to achieve prescribed textures and finishes.

Ideal candidates have HS diploma or GED and practical experience with concrete finishing, surface preparation, and edging. This is a physically demanding on-site role with opportunities for career growth within Granite’s field operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with concrete finishing and surface finishing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings or diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Smooths and finishes poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs using hand or power tools.
• Spreads concrete to required depth and level surfaces with floats and screeds.
• Molds joints and edges; applies finishes with trowels and grinders as needed.
• Assists with mixing concrete and supporting subgrade work and forms.
