Job summary

Textron Aviation in Wichita, KS is seeking a Trim Technician for the 2nd shift to prepare composite parts by trimming, filling, sanding, and bonding according to blueprints and instructions.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of composites experience; blueprint reading is a plus.

You will work with hand tools, calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of composites experience required.
• Blueprint reading class preferred.
• Bronze WorkKeys certification acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Ensures composite assemblies meet bonding cure specifications.
• Hand trims composite panels to meet quality and dimensions.
• Prepares surfaces by filling and sanding to a smooth finish.
• Uses small hand tools, sanders, drills, routers, adhesive applicators, calipers and gauges.
• Performs other related duties as required.
