Job summary

APEX ENGINEERING INTERNATIONAL LLC is seeking a skilled lay-up technician to assemble metal and composite parts in accordance with engineering specs and customer requirements. You will apply adhesives, lay up fiberglass components, vacuum bag, and inspect for defects while documenting process data in ERP systems.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read shop travelers and work orders, and compliance with PPE and ITAR guidelines. A fast-paced, team-oriented environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret engineering specifications and work orders.
• Must be able to wear proper personal protective equipment.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
• Mechanical aptitude to read and interpret engineering specifications and work orders.
• Ability to safely use hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Applies adhesive to metal detail parts and assembles parts.
• Lays up composite fiberglass parts according to specifications and work orders.
• Vacuum bags parts and checks for leaks.
• Inspects parts for foreign object damage (F.O.D.).
• Records job information in ERP system and documents travelers and logs.
• Maintains clean work area, tools and equipment.
