Zusammenfassung

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Process Operator / CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing floor. You will set up and operate diverse CNC equipment across multiple operations, including 5-axis milling and laser drilling, under careful adherence to blueprints and specifications.

The role requires at least 3 years in CNC operations, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant certifications such as forklift/crane licensing.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in CNC operations.
• Certifications: Fork truck/crane license (Active or ability to obtain it immediately on selection).
• Ability to obtain ACT WorkKeys Silver level as part of pre-hire assessment. Siemens Energy will assist in scheduling.

• Set up and operate CNC machining equipment including horizontal boring machines, laser drills, 5-axis milling.
• Interpret detailed drawings and specifications to determine tooling and processes.
• Load/unload parts using material handling devices; support crane operator as needed.
• Follow Siemens procedures to ensure safety, quality and efficiency in production.
• Meet QA protocols and perform complex metrology as required.

Process Operator / CNC Machinist

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is actively recruiting for full-time positions across various shifts, encompassing a range of days and time slots such as 5:30am-4:00pmMon-Thurs, 4:00 pm-2:30amMon-Thurs & 5:30am-6:00pmFri- Sun, 5:30pm-6:00amFri- Sun

A Snapshot of Your Day

Set up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment using CNC controls for multiple operations, to include but not limited to machining (Horizontal Boring Machines, Laser Drillers, 5-axis milling machines), bonding, heat treatment, manual machining and hand tools, etc.

• Required to lift / move 50lbs of materials


• Interpret detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufactures specifications, etc., and figure out necessary tools to perform required machining operations


• Using material handling devices (Jib & B/C cranes and forklifts), loads/unloads parts from machines and/or assists crane operator.


• Follows Siemens established procedures to operate machinery and equipment.

What You Bring

• Education:High School diploma or GED


• Experience:Minimum of 3 years in CNC operations, specifically in the following areas:- Machining




• Laser applications


• Coating machines (specific experience preferred)




• Required Certifications:- Fork truck/crane license (Active or ability to obtain it immediately on selection)


• Ability to obtain an ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher) as part of the pre-hire assessment. Siemens Energy will assist in scheduling the test upon shortlisting.


• Skills:Proficient in CNC operation, loading/unloading workpieces, adhering to QA protocols, performing complex metrology, and interpreting complex drawings; strong shop math skills.


• Ability to wear a respirator and pass a Process Operator Competency Test.


• Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests as required to perform the duties.


• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
