Job summary

KARL STORZ is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Franklin, MA. In this hands-on role you will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss-style machines to produce high-quality components for medical technologies.

You will read blueprints, edit CNC programs, perform inspections to print specs, and participate in Lean initiatives. The shift is Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, with emphasis on precision, quality, and safe,

Qualifications

3‑5+ years of CNC machining experience with setup and operation.
Ability to read blueprints and inspect against print specifications.
Experience editing CNC programs and adjusting processes as needed.
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail in a production setting.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss‑style machines per setup sheets.
Edit CNC programs, adjust tooling, and troubleshoot processes for quality.
Inspect components to blueprint specifications and record data accurately.
Perform TPM tasks and participate in Lean continuous-improvement initiatives.
Work with materials including stainless steel and exotic alloys.
Maintain safety, compliance, and produce high-precision components.
