Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer & Machining Technician to manufacture precision industrial components. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment to produce high-quality parts in a heavy industrial environment.

The ideal candidate reads blueprints, programs multiple controls (Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, Heidenhain), and maintains tight tolerances of 0.0005 inches while following safety procedures and supporting occasional Saturday work.

Qualifications

• Experience programming and operating CNC lathes and mills.
• Read and interpret drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with G-code programming.
• Familiarity with Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, or Heidenhain CNC controls.
• Strong understanding of precision machining and quality standards.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, dial bore gauges and other precision measuring equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret machining drawings and technical blueprints.
• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and CNC mills.
• Create and edit G-code programs using Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, or Heidenhain controls (experience with all controls is not required).
• Machine parts to specifications while maintaining tolerances as tight as 0.0005 inches.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, dial bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Produce accurate, high-quality components while meeting production requirements.
• Follow established safety procedures in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Maintain dependable attendance and work scheduled hours, including occasional Saturdays.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
