Job summary

You will develop and load CNC programs, verify settings with precision measuring tools, perform first piece inspections, and adjust processes to maintain tight tolerances.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, familiarity with AutoCAD/CNC software, and the ability to work with limited supervision while keeping accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineered drawings and loading CNC programs.
• Ability to use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers) to verify part tolerances.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and obtain forklift/crane certifications.
• Experience with AutoCAD and CNC software.

Responsibilities

• Plan work from travelers, prints, and instructions; select tools and setup for efficient operation.
• Develop and load CNC programs; select cutting operations (waterjet, plasma, laser) and adjust speeds for plate thickness.
• Program new parts as needed and monitor machine settings for accuracy.
• Perform first piece inspection and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Coordinate with material handler to load/unload plates and move completed jobs to the next operation.
