Job summary

Chief Buildings is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up, program (as required), and operate CNC work centers for punching, shearing, or forming operations. You will ensure precision and efficiency by applying strong mechanical aptitude and experience with CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires 1-3 years of related experience, the ability to read engineering drawings, and proficiency with fractions and decimals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
• 3 years: 1-3 Years of related experience or the equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with fractions and decimals.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication operations and CNC methods, typically gained through technical education.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and modify programs on CNC machines for punching, shearing, or forming operations.
• Select and adjust machine tools, jigs, and fixtures; perform authorized maintenance as needed.
• Fabricate parts to specification using engineering drawings and precision measuring tools.
• Move materials using forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, or manual handling.
• Accurately complete production records and maintain inventory data integrity.
