CTR Group in Norfolk, VA is seeking a CNC Mills Machinist for a precision machine shop and metal fabrication operation. The 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) offers competitive pay of $20–$28 per hour plus benefits, with immediate opening and urgent hiring.

You will set up machines, interpret drawings, and ensure parts meet exacting GD&T specifications. Ideal candidates have experience reading blueprints, performing first‑part inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Experience setting up CNC mills and adjusting machining controls.
• Perform first-part inspections and ensure parts meet specs.
• Maintain records and document parts counts.

Responsabilités

• Sets and adjusts machining controls with minimal assistance.
• Use edge finders, indicators, and probes to establish machine work offsets.
• Produces precision parts that meet engineering specifications.
• Reads and interprets engineering and manufacturing drawings with working knowledge of GD&T.
• Accurately follows set up sheets and applies best practices.
• Applies optimal cutting techniques, speeds and feeds.
• Detects malfunctions or tolerance issues and communicates findings.
• Verifies conformance of parts using standard measuring tools.
• Performs through first-part inspections of moderate to complex parts.
• Consistently meets or exceeds job standard times and communicates delays when needed.
• Maintains accurate records or parts counts and required documentation.
