Wisconsin Ordnance Works in Oshkosh, WI, is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Setup Machinist to set up and run CNC mills independently, producing precision defense components to print in alloy steel, titanium, aluminum, and other materials.

You will read drawings with GD&T, edit programs at the control, and ensure parts stay in tolerance while maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Overtime is available and a four-day workweek is typical.

Competenze

• 3+ years setting up and running CNC mills independently: workholding, tooling, offsets, and first-part prove-out.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to edit programs at the control and troubleshoot tool wear, chatter, and dimensional drift.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR.

Mansioni

• Run CNC milling machines through production jobs: load material, run cycles, and keep the machine producing.
• Inspect parts at the machine with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and indicators.
• Set up new jobs from print and setup sheet: workholding, tool selection, offsets, and first-article prove-out.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; follow 5S and safety procedures.
• Stop and escalate when something is wrong; nonconforming parts do not move forward.
