Job summary

VULCAN is seeking a capable CNC Mill Machinist for our Osceola, WI facility. You will machine high-quality parts from engineered drawings, using CNC mills with live tooling and Siemens controls.

Expect strict adherence to QA, GD&T, and tooling calibration, as you contribute to continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. The role requires attention to detail, prior experience, and ability to read G/M code, inspect parts, and collaborate with supervision on process enhancements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC milling machines with live tooling.
• Technical program certificate or degree preferred.
• Basic PC skills preferred.
• Siemens control experience preferred.
• Familiar with precision tools and instruments: calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret G and M code.
• Strong math skills; good understanding of cutting tools.
• Able to read drawings, charts, and blueprints; GD&T knowledge.
• Must be punctual, reliable with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Meet production standards for machined parts or communicate reasons when not.
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specs.
• Adhere to QAP documentation and verify revisions.
• Ensure tooling and gauging are available and calibrated.
• Double-check measuring equipment against standards.
• Evaluate tool performance and cycle times.
• Learn operation of CNC machining centers and diagnose issues.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety regs.
• Read programs to understand operation order; manage priorities.
• Support maintenance and autonomous upkeep as needed.
• Protect following work instructions and promote accuracy in work.
