CTR Group is seeking experienced CNC Machinists in Mobile, AL to set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes to produce precision metal components. Immediate openings and urgent hiring are noted in the posting.

The role requires reading blueprints, using G-code, and performing in-process inspections with calipers and micrometers. Candidates should be capable of handling up to 50 lbs in a shop environment while ensuring quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
• Familiarity with G-code, basic programming edits, and machine offsets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills/lathes to produce parts to blueprint requirements
• Load materials, adjust tooling, and verify machine settings before production runs
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement tools
• Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and machining instructions
• Monitor machine performance and make minor offsets or adjustments as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all shop safety procedures
• Collaborate with supervisors and weld/fab teams to ensure production accuracy and efficiency
