Job summary

Staffmark Group in Ohio is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Wauseon to set up and operate CNC mills, lathes and Swiss machines using existing programs to produce precision components. You will read blueprints, verify tolerances, and ensure quality throughout the process.

The role requires experience with precision measuring tools and GD&T, with a focus on Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Competitive pay and benefits included for 1st/2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or CNC education preferred.
• Experience operating or setting up CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines using existing CNC programs.
• Perform machine changeovers, tooling installation, and fixture setup.
• Load, verify, and execute approved CNC programs.
• Adjust tool offsets and machine parameters to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Apply GD&T requirements during machining and inspection.
• Replace cutting tools and monitor tool wear.
• Troubleshoot machining issues with Engineering and Quality.
• Complete production and inspection documentation.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow all safety, AS9100, and quality procedures.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
