Job summary

Palmetto State Armory L in West Columbia, SC, is seeking a Machine Operator II for Weekday Nights to fabricate high precision components. You will run CNC lathes and mills, load/unload parts, measure dimensions, and follow quality and safety procedures.

Shift is Monday-Thursday, 5:30pm–4:00am. You will ensure parts meet specifications, document results, and maintain a productive workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 years of CNC experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand Safety Rules, SOPs, Work Instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Ability to operate CNC equipment.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools.
• Ability to use calibrated test and measuring equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with work group.
• Ability to apply problem solving techniques and implement corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple CNC machines including CNC lathes and CNC mills.
• Make adjustments to maintain specifications using drawings and operator instructions.
• Process components within established cycle times.
• Measure components and test assemblies with calibrated equipment.
• Prepare documentation like Product Acceptance Records and Nonconforming Material Reports.
• Adhere to Safety Principles and Quality System Standards.
• All other duties as assigned.
