Job summary

Prescott Metal is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer to program and manufacture parts on CNC lathes. You will study specifications, read blueprints, and generate G‑Code at the controller to produce precise components from metals and plastics.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading stock, performing daily maintenance and safety checks, inspecting finished parts with calipers and micrometers, and keeping a clean, safe work area. Strong mechanical ability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED or vocational tech school completed.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret specifications.
• Experience with G-code programming and lathe operations.

Responsibilities

• Program and produce parts on CNC lathes from metal and plastics.
• Read blueprints and interpret specifications for dimensions and tolerances.
• Generate G-code at the controller to manufacture quality parts.
• Load and unload material, perform setup, and ensure machine guarding is operational.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks; maintain logs per schedule.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers and micrometers to verify tolerances.
