Job summary

EFCO Corp. in Des Moines, Iowa, seeks a CNC cutting operator to fabricate steel parts per production standards, performing setup, programming, inspection, and material movement with safety in mind.

You will load materials, operate CNC cutting equipment, ensure correct part identification, and maintain high quality while upholding EFCO’s safety culture. This role is 100% onsite at our Des Moines facility.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Familiar with measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, tape measures.
• Must pass EFCO’s internal test.

Responsibilities

• Load and position the correct steel on the cutting bed and confirm item numbers for efficient processing.
• Run CNC cutting programs, adjust torch settings for material thickness, and start the cut.
• Sort finished parts, identify them, and clean components; return scrap material.
• Make on-the-fly programming changes and set up new production runs; monitor performance and adjust parameters.
• Inspect parts for conformance, perform quality audits, and maintain production records; perform routine machine maintenance.
• Keep the work area clean, follow safety procedures, and participate in trainings.
