Job summary

EFCO Forming & Shoring Solutions in Des Moines, IA is seeking a CAD/CAM Programmer to convert CAD data into machine instructions for lasers, plasmas, and press brakes, developing flat patterns and nesting strategies.

You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability, document procedures, and help drive continuous improvement through data-driven methods. This role is on-site and key to efficient fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with CAM software (e.g., BySoft, ProNest) used for laser/plasma programming.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD) and CAM software.
• Familiarity with CNC fabrication equipment and sheet metal design.

Responsibilities

• CAD/CAM programming: convert CAD files to machine programs for lasers, plasmas, and press brakes; develop nests and cutting plans.
• Documentation and file management: maintain organized part files, revisions, and machine programs; support SOPs.
• Process development and improvement: collaborate with engineers and operators to ensure manufacturability and reduce errors.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support design, prototyping, and production goals.
