Job summary

Alamo Group is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate shop equipment, following safety and production guidelines. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, using measurement tools, and ensuring accurate tool placement at shift end.

The role requires reading prints, basic math, and experience with Mitsubishi and/or Bystronic lasers. A high school diploma and related experience are preferred, with EEO commitments noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1-year minimum setup and operation of Mitsubishi and/or Bystronic lasers is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery (CNC, Brake Press, Saw, etc.).
• Use measuring equipment such as dial calipers, micrometers, tape measures.
• Read blueprints or job orders to determine specifications and tooling instructions.
• Plan operational sequences and ensure proper tool placement at shift end.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
