Job summary

JobSquad Solutions Team seeks an EDM Operator in the Bloomingdale, IL area. The role involves setting up and operating EDM machines to produce precise parts, measuring with calibrated tools and ensuring quality per sheets.

Shifts run 4:30 AM–3:00 PM or 4:30 PM–3:00 AM, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, with overtime possible on fifth day. Assure accuracy with dial indicators, micrometers, calipers and plug gauges, and perform fixture teardowns and electrode changes as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year in manufacturing with tight tolerance production.
Minimum 5 years CNC EDM sinker or wire machining experience.
Strong math skills demonstrated during hiring.
Ability to measure parts within tight tolerances and read indicators.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate EDM machines to manufacture parts per process sheets.
Measure parts using dial indicators, micrometers, calipers and plug gauges to verify tolerances.
Perform fixture teardowns and machine set ups as needed.
Change electrodes and wires as required for each job.
Conduct daily quality checks and own the part operation.
Label parts that do not meet quality standards and suggest process improvements.
Maintain daily time records and complete maintenance tickets as needed.
Keep work area clean and machine wiped down at shift end.
