Job summary

Zenar Corporation in Oak Creek, Wisconsin is seeking a CNC Boring Bar Machinist/Programmer to join the manufacturing team. You will program and modify controls, set up and operate horizontal boring bars, and ensure tight tolerances on a wide range of parts.

You will read blueprints, select tooling and speeds and feeds, verify dimensions with micrometers and calipers, and work with engineering to optimize processes for quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading blueprints and GD&T.
• Strong CNC programming and setup capabilities for bore bars.
• Familiar with precision measurement tools and calibration procedures.

Responsibilities

• Program and modify CNC bore bar programs.
• Set up, adjust and operate horizontal boring bars with tight tolerances.
• Align and secure large irregular workpieces using cranes and magnets.
• Select speeds/feeds, tooling and sequences; verify dimensions with precision instruments.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve machining efficiency.
