Job summary

Seakeeper is seeking a Quality Technician to serve as the gatekeeper for quality assurance while operating a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). You will ensure incoming production parts meet our strict quality standards and communicate results to the Quality department.

You will work with a range of inspection equipment including CMM, Profilometer, and 3D scanner, and will update documentation to reflect part status. This role requires attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year CMM operation experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience with inspection equipment and tools.
• Ability to perform precision manual measurements with hand tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
• Basic Word/Excel skills.
• Report results clearly to QA.
• Knowledge of GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CMM and review drawing specifications for incoming parts, first articles, and prototypes.
• Analyze problems, initiate corrective actions, and report results.
• Verify machined parts meet drawings using inspection equipment (CMM and others).
• Operate various inspection tools including Profilometer and 3D scanners.
• Identify and document non-conforming product in lab settings.
• Update production docs for inspection parts status.
• Communicate inspection results to quality leadership and vendors as needed.
