Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks candidates for QA/QC Inspector positions at levels 1 and 2 in the Prototype Fabrication Applied Metrology Group. The team performs dimensional inspections of conventional materials, depleted uranium, and beryllium components, within three controlled labs, and supports drawing-based acceptance of machined parts.

Level 1 focuses on learning and supervised tasks with basic inspection tools; Level 2 adds higher accuracy, independent inspection, and reporting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required for QA/QC roles.
• Experience in dimensional inspection preferred for higher level.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply inspection skills under supervision.
• Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components.
• Assist in preparing inspection reports and documenting results.
