Job summary

ElringKlinger AG in the United States (Easley, SC) seeks a metrology engineer to develop CMM measurement programs and support QA with data-driven decisions. You will translate specifications from drawings and MBD data into practical measurement setups and ensure compliance with VDA/PPAP templates.

The role involves working with the technical department to select appropriate test equipment, generate MSAs, and calibrate gauges regularly to maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Creating measurement programs for the coordinate measuring machine based on drawings, MBD data and/or programs.
• Creating work orders in the relevant software per technical department or customer specifications.
• Providing functional support to technical departments, incl. translating results from coordinate measuring machines.
• Drawing up initial-sample test reports per the VDA and PPAP templates.
• Advising on suitable test equipment and methods based on analyses and CSR requirements.
