Job summary

Overton Industries in Franklin, IN is seeking a skilled CMM Technician to perform dimensional inspections on machined parts, tools, and assemblies using CMMs and precision instruments. You will interpret drawings, GD&T, and specifications to determine inspection methods and acceptance criteria, and support calibration and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve defects, develop gaging setups, and help with ISO/IATF

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience reading drawings/blueprints and applying GD&T; knowledge of ISO/IATF/ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment and precision instruments.
• Develop and maintain gaging setups and surface plate layouts.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T to determine inspection methods.
• Analyze inspection data and establish measurement techniques to verify conformance.
• Utilize CMM equipment and software to inspect complex components and collect data.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality to resolve quality concerns.
