Job summary

Tempe-based aerospace precision facility is hiring CMM Quality Inspectors to inspect tight-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and medical customers using Zeiss CMMs with Calypso, and manual inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.

You will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, collaborating with machinists, programmers, and engineers to ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• CMM operating experience in a precision machining environment.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Ability to read and apply GD&T.
• Hands-on inspection experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Experience running existing CMM inspection programs.
• Experience performing first article inspections.

Responsibilities

• Run existing inspection programs on Zeiss CMMs using Calypso.
• Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision inspection tools.
• Perform FAIs and create detailed dimensional inspection reports.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
• Verify dimensional compliance throughout production and before shipment.
• Communicate dimensional issues with machinists and engineers to support corrective actions.
• Help maintain calibrated gauges and metrology equipment.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation.
