Qualifications

• Read, comprehend and execute directions from mechanical drawings.
• Able to measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges or micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Sets-up and operates precision grinding equipment to perform operations within machine capacity and capability.
• Reads blueprints/overlays to guide grinding operations and ensures head protrusion gauging.
• Inspects parts for quality and tolerances using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators).
• Determines proper feed and speed; records piece count and run time of production.
• Identifies improper machine functioning and makes adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoots loading system for auto grinders.
