Job summary

GE Aerospace in Evendale, OH is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate a range of machine tools including milling, turning, grinding, and drilling. You will read verbal or written instructions and sometimes sketches to perform high-precision work and inspect components for accuracy.

Responsibilities include dimensional checks, assembling sub-assemblies, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Prior CNC milling experience is a plus, and the role requires at least a high school diploma

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least two years of milling or turning experience or combined experience in milling/drilling/broaching/grinding with at least one year of milling/turning.
• Desirable: CNC milling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate milling, turning, grinding, boring, drilling and related machine tools.
• Perform precision operations to close tolerances from instructions and sketches.
• Inspect major and minor parts, sub-assemblies and components for workmanship and function.
• Conduct dimensional inspection using height gages, surface plates and indicators.
• Provide cell support including lubrication, cleaning, and general shop housekeeping.
