Job summary

Cross Company, an engineering and calibration leader, seeks a Calibration Technician to perform quality calibrations across multiple disciplines on-site in Olive Branch, MS.

You will prepare for on-sites, maintain calibration documentation, and ensure timely certificates while upholding safety and customer service.

Associates degree in technical discipline preferred; valid driver's license required; 48-hour turnaround on certificates.

Qualifications

• A strong understanding of precision measurement equipment, calibration principles.
• Proficient in gage management software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Understanding computer peripherals and communications.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Self-motivation, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Associate degree in instrumentation, industrial, mechanical, or electronics engineering; Navy/Army equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration across core disciplines: temperature, pressure, flow, vibration, mass, electrical, electronics, time, frequency, RF, torque, force, and dimension.
• Prepare for on-sites by reviewing equipment lists, procedures and specifications; ensure proper standards are selected.
• Ensure calibration stickers, PMD work orders, worksheets, tags, and survey cards are ready; may download customer data on-site.
• Keep all company tools and property in good working order and calibrated.
• Prepare certificates of calibration and data worksheets for final inspection by Quality.
• Conduct quality inspection of calibrated equipment as approved by Quality Manager.
• Complete certificates for on-site and in-house calibration within 48 hours of job completion.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety mindset at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
